The process I employ in my work is to identify reactions by creating two separate areas with-in the painting either by separating the image in two or by separating the canvases completely to define this process in a more physical way. By doing this it enables me to look at two separate properties at the same time which intern offers a clear visual idea. I use thin layers of paint to achieve some of the surfaces in my work which creates depth and subtleties across the finished piece. I try to translate from landscape to paint. I try to show repetition and change in our external environment. I want my work to read on an emotional and pragmatic level.
