Lambert Kamps

groningen-based artist and designer lambert kamps has presented a selection of his most renowned work during IMM cologne 2014 for the gronicles #4 exhibition at passagen. featuring ‘inflatable furniture’, a series of swollen, bulging chairs and ‘cozy shelter’, an interactive inflatable hiding ground, the objects intersect the boundary between art, architecture and design. appearing like a sandbag fortress, the blow-up defense structure appears as a pastel collard cave, providing space for people to enjoy the warm, internal atmosphere, layered with soft wool blankets. constructed with a 220 meter long inflatable tube and wrapped with nautical fabrics, the temporary installation is banded in layers and connected together with red straps. visitors can navigate through the various openings by popping their heads between the gaps within the surface.
